widemore collects nothing. It has no analytics, no accounts, and makes no network requests of its own. Your settings — the preset, the knobs, which sites you've turned it off on — live in your browser's own sync storage, where we cannot see them. The zoom it applies is scoped to the tab it happened in and clears when that tab navigates or closes.

widemore asks for access to all sites for one reason: the rails have to exist at the screen edge before you hover — that is the entire interface, so there is no click to ask permission on. The source is public and short enough to read in one sitting.

No analytics, no cookies, no third-party requests. If you subscribe, we store your email address and when you subscribed — nothing else — in a database we host ourselves, and use it only to send the launch note and occasional announcements of new tools. For spam protection the server briefly keeps a rate-limit token derived from your connection that rotates daily and cannot be traced back to you afterwards.

Unsubscribe any time by replying to any email we send; we delete your row. Questions to hello@widemore.page.
